2019 Operation Christmas Child
It all starts with you!
Join what God’s doing and pack a shoebox.
It's that "Operation Christmas Child" time of the year again. Our Highland Family has participated in this wonderful family activity for many years. Last year we sent 80 boxes around the world. Shoe boxes will be available Sunday, November 3rd at the church. Remember! The amazing journey of a simple Shoebox begins with you.
Each year shoebox gifts are collected in thousands of locations to be sent to children around the world in nearly 100 countries.
The gift boxes are packed with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing and candy and are sent to children suffering from poverty, war, famine, and disease. In many cases, these gifts are the only gift that the child has ever received. Included with the shoebox gift is a booklet explaining the gospel in the child’s own language. The children and families are then invited to a follow-up Bible study program and many come to Christ through this ministry. Being part of this outreach is a very exciting opportunity and a wonderful way for each of us to be involved in mercy ministry and missions.

Marvellous’ Story: God Is Always There for You
Marvellous Okonne was separated from his family as a child and lived in an orphanage for a time before being reunited with his loved ones. When he was 8 years old, he received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox and knew for certain that God loved him and would never leave him.
Operation Christmas Child 2019 Packing a shoebox for 10-14yrs Girl & Boy.
For the holiday season, one of my favorite projects to do with my family is pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We love shopping to pick out things that will help bring a smile to a child's face, aid them with school supplies and help meet some of their basic needs.
